Sometimes
you have to walk to the edge of the roof of your being, your existence—to stare
at the depths below, to gauze where do you stand in life, to evaluate your
position. For security you might decide to step back and be in the little safe
square around you. But sometimes you ought to just give a long, hard look into
the depths below. You evaluate by focusing at your lowest point. The low point
lying there among the dusted ground realities far away from the lofty heights.
And if the call of the journey assures you of the sweet-sour pain of a fall,
but with a reasonable chance of survival, you then just jump and make your path
beyond all confines and fears. You untangle the messed-up spools of the past
lying in the shadows of those low points. That’s when your real journey begins.
