About Me

My photo
Hi, this is somebody who has taken the quieter by-lane to be happy. The hustle and bustle of the big, booming main street was too intimidating. Passing through the quieter by-lane I intend to reach a solitary path, laid out just for me, to reach my destiny, to be happy primarily, and enjoy the fruits of being happy. (www.sandeepdahiya.com)

Flexibility: The mantra of survival, growth and evolution

We are born very supple and flexible. That’s why we bounce back after a fall. Nature gives us that physical flexibility so that we can get up after a fall. And fall we have to many times to learn to walk. Then we grow up and physical rigidities set in. The same fall would now result in multiple fractures.

At the physical level, we can do a lot to stall and postpone this rigidity through exercise and proper nutrition. But there is another aspect of us where we can stay flexible like before. I mean the flexibility of mind. We can retain the suppleness of our mindset, attitude and belief system to allow it to be positively shifted along the alignment of the uncontrollable forces of nature and the shifting shades of time.

The suppleness of mind and attitude saves us from breaking relationships as well as our own spirit. It’s essential to have this flexibility to continue growing and evolving as a person. An old man with a withering body having suppleness of mind is a nice combination.
