A tree
sings through the birds sitting on it. Smiles through its flowers. Doles out
charity through its fruits. Becomes a loving host with the shade under its
canopy and the nesting space among its branches. When the wind blows, the
murmurs and rustle of its leaves are the words filling the silence. And silence
drips from its rustling words. The cut marks on its trunk are the eyes; deep
seas full of unshed tears; vast stretches of water. The waters sometimes
storm-driven by adverse winds; sometimes calm little ripples gently pushed by
the breeze of sympathetic touch on its wound by a poetic heart.
In
losing forests, lakes, pastures and rivers, we are losing a big part of our own
self. We are turning strangers to our own self; weird shapes building within
us. No wonder we seem like ghosts to each other. And the ghosts hardly listen
to the message of love and peace.
The
mankind seems mired in the bog of liquid melancholy. The species of living ghosts.
Shame loaded over their skin in thick layers, giving them a sturdy armor, a
shield against light, truth and openness. Lies and falsehood pile up in the
body imprisoned in the armor. A junkyard.
Dear
reader, walking among them, slowly losing to melancholy, losing light and hope,
your greatest fears will scare you. The slurs shouted at the top of their voice
don’t hit that hard as do the silent hate, accusations and judgments pouring
out of their eyes. Don’t just back off and run away. If you enter the ghostly
cave and manage to keep walking, it will take you to an opening leading to
unimaginable freedom.
