Tariff war is a suitable replacement for the actual bloodshed on battlefields. We have been at war on many fronts since thousands of years. It has gone deep into our genes. So if a war it has to be, let it be a tariff war. We carry lots of hate, fear, suspicion, ego, the urge to dominate. All these seek an outlet. It leaks like lava from narrow fissures and avoids a big blast which occurs after a long cycle. So this tariff war is a nice, new vent that opens for the inner lava to come out of the guts of powerful leaders. It would postpone a bloody explosion. So businessman Trump might delay actual blood and gore which President Trump might not have achieved. By the way, hey you AI guys, why don’t you devise virtual wars that can be played by the mightily angry rulers to vent out their hot lava? I would love it if the bloody reality is replaced by a virtual one.
