About Me

My photo
Hi, this is somebody who has taken the quieter by-lane to be happy. The hustle and bustle of the big, booming main street was too intimidating. Passing through the quieter by-lane I intend to reach a solitary path, laid out just for me, to reach my destiny, to be happy primarily, and enjoy the fruits of being happy. (www.sandeepdahiya.com)

The end of democracy

With its razor-sharp, pinpointed, surgically executed, unsparing approach in policy formulation and its implementation and execution, China is setting newer and newer benchmarks in economic and technological growth and development.

In a world where end justifies the means, the Chinese system of authoritarianism, which allows an unwavering adherence to state policy and its implementation, will be taken more and more seriously in the democratic world.

The conspiratorial whispers will first turn to muted appreciation. Then all criticism will peter out. Once condemned loudly, the Chinese system will automatically build up an appealing validity in the minds of the democratic societies.

And since victory has many followers, the leaders even in the leading democracies will take up the Chine type of authoritarian approach in ruling their countries.

In fact, if you see the current leadership in democracies world over, you will see a clear-cut proclivity towards authoritarianism to give specific direction to their respective countries; the directions which are suitable to extra-strong political heads.

To the critics, you simply need to point out the Chinese approach towards unsparing development, elaborate their methodology, and your little-little transgressions in the democratic fort will stand accepted.

Democracies are against a big challenge indeed.
