About Me

My photo
Hi, this is somebody who has taken the quieter by-lane to be happy. The hustle and bustle of the big, booming main street was too intimidating. Passing through the quieter by-lane I intend to reach a solitary path, laid out just for me, to reach my destiny, to be happy primarily, and enjoy the fruits of being happy. (www.sandeepdahiya.com)

The Restless Mind: Between the Art of Living and the Poetry of Desire

 2019

Miscellaneous Notes, Reflections and Literary Expressions

1. Routine things give boredom. Too tough things will only add to your stress and anxiety. Hit the midway path. Tolerably challenging tasks get you into an absorbing flow.

2. As they say, having a compass pointing in a definite direction is more fruitful than having a detailed map.

3. Our brains are not wired to function in parallel processing like computers. Multitasking is a big fallacy. It just is a replica of the instability and restlessness inside.

4. **Melting of ego:** When one is so absorbed in a process that, instead of she doing the task, it is the task that is leading her.

5. Around 60,000 random thoughts flit across our minds daily. Meditation generates alpha and theta brain waves, the relaxing brain waves that get activated just before we fall asleep.

6. Those who move around a lot stand a better chance of living a long life than those who tire themselves out in gymming and hard exercise.

7. Even feeble moonrays can set in germination in seeds. All you need is a faint light.

8. **Passion, when recalled in the lap of luxuriant nature by a stream in the hills, turns hundred times sweeter with each passing moment.** My mind ran across your quivering contours. Your uncertain response, trying to keep you chained within the threshold, beyond which the blizzard of uncontrollable desire awaited with a glee. The confident shine in your eyes smothered down by the look of a woman lynched by desire.
