About Me

My photo
Hi, this is somebody who has taken the quieter by-lane to be happy. The hustle and bustle of the big, booming main street was too intimidating. Passing through the quieter by-lane I intend to reach a solitary path, laid out just for me, to reach my destiny, to be happy primarily, and enjoy the fruits of being happy. (www.sandeepdahiya.com)

History, myth, legends, folk heroes, heroes

About a thousand years back, a prince was unjustiably punished and penalized. Thus began the journey of a saint - from Sailkot to Nahri in Sonipat. The prince turned sage laid the foundation of Nath Sampradaya in Haryana. He was Baba Chauranginath (none other than penalised prince Puranmal who got diksha from legendary Baba Gorakhnath and did tapasya under a banyan tree near Nahri village). Lord Shiva appeared as Baba Shambhu Nath and then Puranmal Bhagat laid the foundation of Baba Shambhu Nath Math at Nahri, Sonipat.
